Dear Mr Grunberg,

When the Swedish-Russian Working group presentend its findings in January this year it was made very clear that the report could bot be regarded as the final work on Raoul Wallenberg’s fate. In view of the fact that there is still no definite information as to what happened to Raoul Wallenberg, the Swedish Government intends to continue the investigations. I have been assured by President Putin that we can count on the support of the Russian authorities. In recent months the Swedish government has appointed two committees to look into the Raoul Walleneberg case. One of them will conduct an inquiry into the ways in which the Swedish authorities, including successive governments, have handled the case.
